Scott Mattingly founded the firm in January 2022 with the vision of establishing a Firm that could provide clients with a unique comprehensive financial planning experience. As a CFP and CPA, Scott recognizes the importance that taxes play as part of a sound comprehensive financial plan. As a result, the Firm's approach to financial planning is unique in the sense that it incorporates the tax and tax planning that many other financial consultants cannot provide.
Scott graduated from Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland in 1998 with a BS in Accounting and a minor in Economics. He received his Certified Public Accountant designation in August 1999. In 2001 he received his credentials as a Certified Financial Planner and in May 2011 received his Certified Retirement Planning Specialist credentials.
Scott's areas of expertise are individual and corporate tax, tax planning, outsourced CFO work, IRS audit representation, personal financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions as well as many other areas. Scott has a passion for helping individuals and businesses not only grow and achieve their financial results but also protect again the downside risks of the market, taxes, and various other economic factors.
Scott is involved in various charitable Organizations and schools throughout the DMV area where he not only supports them philanthropically but also with his time and financial expertise.
When not working, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children as well as running, biking, hiking, gardening and landscaping and watching his children's sports and activities.
